Journalist Rozina Ali discusses a largely forgotten episode of post-9/11 Islamophobia, when hundreds of Muslims and those perceived to be Muslim were mass-arrested and detained in the United States.

Later, the Bush administration instituted a registry for foreign nationals from Muslim-majority countries, leading to thousands of unjust deportations.
