India has just hosted the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, bringing together the expanded BRICS grouping under India’s 2026 chairship theme — “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.” The summit concluded with the adoption of the New Delhi Declaration, while India’s year-long chairship produced a wide range of outcomes across technology, digital cooperation, finance, agriculture, health, innovation, sustainability and global governance. 🇮🇳🌍

India also pushed several initiatives during its BRICS chairship, including cooperation on digital agriculture, health, science and technology, urban development and financial resilience. At the summit, BRICS members expressed interest in taking forward discussions on India’s proposal for a BRICS Risk Lab at GIFT City, Gujarat, alongside wider cooperation on resilient supply chains and financial capacity.
