Kanye West Randomly Auditioned for American Idol

Kanye West surprised the American Idol judges by walking into the audition room and introducing himself as an aspiring rapper from Chicago. He then performed an a cappella version of his hit song “Gold Digger” directly in front of Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr.

The judges played along with the unexpected audition and awarded Kanye a golden ticket to Hollywood. Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian waited outside with Ryan Seacrest to hear whether he had made it through. ABC News⁠
