Reform UK leader Nigel Farage paid tribute to Ann Widdecombe during his speech at the party's conference in Birmingham.

Farage described Widdecombe as the “best female politician since Thatcher” and said she was “remarkable”.

“It is still difficult to get into our heads the sheer brutality of the way she died,” he said. “It is still the most tremendous shock.”
