How It Works
Real-Time Updates: Official WTA Rankings are updated only once a week (usually on Mondays). Live rankings update match-by-match.

Adding New Points: When a player wins a match, her live points increase based on the round she reaches.

Dropping Old Points: Points from the exact same week of the previous year expire and drop off in real-time. This causes a player's point total to fluctuate before the official ranking drops them.
