Emergency rescue and infrastructure repair operations are advancing into their most critical phase in Gyirong County, Xizang, following a devastating border mudslide. Ground crews are working tirelessly under extreme high-altitude conditions to locate the missing and open vital access corridors. First responders, including young rescuers carrying over 20 kilograms of heavy satellite equipment, have conducted multiple rounds of surface and deep-layer searches across designated 40,000-square-meter disaster sectors.

Meanwhile, engineering teams continue clearing damaged sections of National Highway G216—the main lifeline to Gyirong Port—navigating narrow, high-risk terrain to allow heavy machinery and stone supplies through. With relief supplies flowing into local transit hubs, mobile base stations activated, and the upstream barrier lake successfully drained, multi-force rescue teams remain fully deployed around the clock to restore safety and support affected communities.
