the head injuries can play a huge part in this!! if your frontal lobe isnt fully developed, and you take some sort of impact to your anterior insula, temporoparietal junction, or some other areas, a persons ability to feel any form of empathy can be damaged. causing a lack of or completely missing empathy, and you can find this in a lot of serial killers.
