“Pixie Dust” is the first song Amy Minh Hạnh Corey wrote in collaboration with #1 hit songwriter Kirsti Manna. For Amy, the experience itself felt like a dream - a rare opportunity to share a creative space with someone she deeply admired, while learning, collaborating, and discovering her own voice as a songwriter.
Inspired in part by Peter Pan and the idea of believing in the impossible, “Pixie Dust” became more than just a song about dreams. It is a musical guide to manifestation, resilience, and embracing the journey toward what we hope to achieve. Through its message, Amy explores the magic of believing in a dream while acknowledging the challenges, growing pains, and unexpected turns that come along the way.
At its heart, “Pixie Dust” is a reminder to trust the journey, keep believing - even when the dream feels far away - and to become more grateful for the moments when those dreams finally come true. Amy Minh Hạnh Corey is a Vietnamese-American singer, songwriter, artist, educator, television personality, and internationally recognized mental health speaker. Born in Da Nang, Vietnam, and raised in the United States, Amy uses storytelling, music, communication, and experiential education to bring awareness to self identity, belonging, resilience, mental health, culture, and becoming.
For more than eleven years, Amy has performed and spoken on international stages, designed educational programs and workshops, and collaborated across music, television, education, mental health, and social impact. She is also a Peace Culture Ambassador for the Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation (HPDF), a role she has held since 2019.
Through her work, Amy creates meaningful spaces that help people move beyond survival and develop a more intentional relationship with who they are becoming. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
