Hello everyone! Welcome to Yeonghee’s Country Garden. 😊 Our garden is bursting with juicy berries—autumn olives, mulberries, cherries, and wild strawberries!🍓 Plus, all the colorful perennial flowers💐 bloom beautifully on their own year after year.
We’ve had a busy day harvesting a ton of onions🧅 and garlic, our favorite crops that we planted last autumn. We laid them all out to dry on our sunny deck! We also wrapped little bags around our cute baby pears and peaches🍑 to protect them from bugs. After carefully planting our perilla seedlings🌱—which will give us fragrant leaves in the summer and rich perilla oil in the fall—we couldn’t help but smile seeing our corn🌽 and baby watermelons🍉 growing so fast.
To top it off, we picked our very first fresh cucumbers🥒 today! To beat the summer heat, we whipped up some cool cucumber cold soup and a spicy cucumber salad. We also made stir-fried onions🧅, cooking them down in perilla oil for a wonderful, natural sweetness.
I hope all our subscribers eat plenty of healthy, delicious seasonal food and stay super happy! 🥰
