David Horowitz Freedom Centre Shillman Fellow Josh Hammer claims the midterm results could leave President Donald Trump feeling less politically constrained over whether to resume military action against Iran.
“I think the big question is. Given the role that many believe that the Iran conflict played in this result, what does the president now do when it comes to Iran,” Mr Hammer told News24 host Rita Panahi.
“Now there's no political check. Now there's no ballot box check. He might feel a little uninhibited, a little unrestrained.”
“He might actually try to go back in and deliver one additional lethal blow to the ruling Mullah clerisy there, or he might just get out.”
