NASA Mars Rover Just Discovered a Field of Strange Polygons

NASA's Curiosity rover just stumbled upon an absolute geological goldmine on Mars: an endless field of bizarre honeycomb-shaped polygons stretching as far as the camera can see. Discovered inside a valley known as Valle Grande, these strange geometric fractures measure a few inches across and literally blanket the entire alien landscape. While the rover has seen tiny patches of these shapes before, scientists were left entirely breathless by the sheer massive scale of this new discovery. Experts believe these mysterious formations could be the ancient remains of drying mud cracks or extreme temperature shifts from a time when Mars was covered in lakes and streams.
