사비나미술관은 한국-덴마크 문화예술 교류 특별전으로 허스크밋나븐의 국내 최초 대규모 개인전을 개최한다. 허스크밋나븐은 정체를 숨기고 작품만으로 소통하는 예술가로 명성을 얻었으며 공공장소, 도시 벽면 등 다양한 공간에 작품을 남겨 사람들에게 위안과 영감을 선사한다.

작가는 이번 전시를 위해 한국을 방문해 미술관 공간 특성에 맞게 현장에서 직접 대형 벽화 작업을 진행하고 완성한다. 전시장 벽면을 거대한 캔버스로 활용한 이 특별한 벽화는 전시 종료 후 제거되고 원상복구된다. 따라서 이 벽화는 한국의 관람객들에게만 선보이는 작품으로, 전시기간 동안 한시적으로 공개되며 사비나미술관을 방문해야만 감상할 수 있다.

벽화를 포함한 회화, 드로잉, 판화, 영상, 오브제 등 총 158점의 다양한 작품들이 출품되어 작가의 작업세계를 본격적으로 살펴보는 기회도 제공한다. 특히 A4 용지 한 장을 찢고, 접고, 구부려 움직임과 공간감을 강조한 3D 입체드로잉은 종이의 물성을 최대한 활용하는 작가 특유의 상상력과 창의성을 보여준다. 본 전시는 풍자와 유머, 재치를 가미한 스토리텔링을 통해 관람객들에게 세상을 바라보는 새로운 시각을 제시한다.

Savina Museum of Contemporary Art organized to promote cultural and artistic exchange between South Korea and Denmark, this exhibition marks the country's first large-scale solo show by HuskMitNavn. He is an anonymous artist who communicates with the audience only through his artworks, giving comfort and inspiration to them. His oeuvre, whose satirical humor is especially appealing, is not only fun and enjoyable but also addresses social problems including children's rights, wars, diseases, and discrimination while portraying positive messages that encourage active engagement. For this show, the artist came to South Korea and painted the large murals in situ, taking into consideration the spatial features of Savina Museum.

Created by using the museum walls as a huge canvas, the murals unfold his unique artistic outlook by way of overwhelming scale, audacious color, and powerful graphic expression. They are only open to the public for the period of the exhibition. Once the show has ended, the works will be removed and our walls will go back to their former condition. Therefore, they are unique works of art showcased for South Korean spectators for the first and last time, which can only be appreciated at Savina Museum. The liveness, exclusivity, and ephemerality embedded in these mural paintings will be offering the audience a highly immersive artistic experience, presenting a special moment that will long be remembered.

Apart from that, this show provides an opportunity to explore his artistic outlook comprehensively by featuring 158 works in total, such as paintings, drawings, lithographs, videos. His 3D drawings, which highlight movement and spatiality by tearing, folding, and bending a sheet of A4 paper, are particularily effective in showing us the imagination and creativity of the artist, who is fully exploring the properties of paper. These displayed artworks bring into relief the values of love, peace, freedom, and equality through storytelling adorned with satire, humor, and imagination, suggesting new perspectives on the world to the audience.
