Pat Noonan | Prematch Press Conference | 10/30/26

FC Cincinnati Head Coach Pat Noonan meets with the media ahead of the Orange and Blue’s Major League Soccer matchup against Philadelphia Union. Noonan discusses the playoff push, with Cincinnati in control of its path and an opportunity to clinch a postseason spot while improving its seeding with two home matches remaining.

Noonan addresses the balance between a record-setting FC Cincinnati attack and the need for more consistent defending heading into the stretch run. He also breaks down the challenge presented by Philadelphia, including the Union’s pressing, ability to win duels, dangerous transitions and combinations in the attack. Cincinnati’s previous meeting with Philadelphia featured an early red card that forced FCC to play with 10 men, but Noonan explains why more recent matches provide useful preparation for the rematch.

The head coach also provides an availability update, with Miles Robinson progressing on a day-to-day basis while Tyrell and Julian remain unavailable. Noonan discusses José Martínez’s first appearance and the experience, communication and energy he brought to the group as FC Cincinnati continues working to improve defensively for the playoff run.
