Uranium mining called a ‘radical distraction’ as Minerals Council pushes for more

Greens MLC Sue Higginson says the idea that Australia needs more uranium “is just wrong”.

“My views on this have been made very, very clearly,” Ms Higginson said.

“This is a radical distraction; it is absolutely unnecessary.

“Of course the Minerals Council has found a different way to push the call for more uranium mining. The idea that we need it is just wrong.”
