Hancock Energy Executive Director Ian Plimer says Labor should reverse the nuclear ban to help lure AI companies onshore with cheaper power.
“We’re going to miss the boat,” Mr Plimer told News24 host Rita Panahi.
“It’s no wonder that the AI companies are going to a place where the energy is 24/7…and where it’s cheap.
“We don’t have the energy at a reasonable cost to run an AI centre; we are a dry continent, and we also don’t have enough water to cool an AI centre.”
