Change can feel like the end of the story we knew, but sometimes, it is the beginning of a better one. "I am a high school student, aspiring physician scientist, and the founder of NeuroBridge, an initiative within LearnServeSmile dedicated to making neuroscience and neurological diseases more accessible to young people. My passion for neuroscience began after my father's neurological diagnosis, an experience that transformed my curiosity into a commitment to educating others and supporting families navigating similar challenges.
Beyond NeuroBridge, I am an active member of the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA), where I compete in Original Oratory and use public speaking to inspire meaningful conversations. I am also a two-time Ohio State Science Fair qualifier, conducting independent research and exploring the intersection of science, medicine, and innovation. Through volunteering at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, TriHealth, and Kettering Health, I have gained valuable insight into patient care and strengthened my desire to pursue a career in medicine.
Outside of academics, I am a varsity track athlete, pianist, and Carnatic musician. I believe that science, storytelling, and service have the power to create meaningful change, and I hope to use all three to improve lives and inspire others to find purpose through adversity. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
