In the UK, new laws have come into effect that will force employers to protect staff from harassment by third parties.
The legislation is particularly relevant for the retail and hospitality industry, where staff spend time interacting with the public.
The change means employers could be found liable if a staff member faces harassment and they have not taken reasonable steps to prevent it.
