Nicki Minaj has fuelled speculation she could become Donald Trump’s next press secretary after a glowing interview aboard Air Force One.
Trump communications director Steven Cheung posted the two-minute exchange before joking they may have found a new White House spokeswoman.
Minaj lavished praise on Trump’s handling of the economy, calling him a natural businessman who understands how to run the country.
The rapper dismissed negative polling ahead of the midterms, arguing conservatives were winning and should ignore what she called “fake news polls.”
Minaj has increasingly joined Trump’s campaign orbit, appearing alongside a growing roster of celebrity supporters at Republican events.
The White House has not yet announced any new appointment for its press secretary.
