Utah GOP Senator John Curtis is demanding the Senate Judiciary Committee investigate reports that a Russian oligarch helped fund Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding celebration. In a formal letter, the Utah Republican called for a dual review of both the Trump and Biden family business dealings to help restore public trust.
The move has triggered a major Republican rift, with key Judiciary Committee members Thom Tillis of North Carolina and John Cornyn of Texas backing the probe. Tillis publicly criticized the president's son for "colossally bad judgment," while Cornyn agreed that a formal investigation is entirely appropriate as the party faces looming midterm elections.
