The Festival of History and Heritage in Games is an exploration of what happens when you bring together game designers, heritage professionals, academic researchers and players to imagine better historical games.
The inaugural Festival in April 2026, hosted by the Bristol Digital Game Lab, collectively celebrated, critiqued, and created new historical games.
We welcomed over 100 attendees to the Bristol Digital Futures Institute for three days of workshops, talks, game jams, hands on play, interviews, film screenings, networking, and more.
