US President Donald Trump has issued a fresh dire warning as unprecedented scenes unfold in France.
The demonstrations, which began last month over education and school conditions, have broadened to include cost-of-living issues.
Cars have been torched, shops looted, and an historic town hall set on fire as multiple cities report widespread vandalism.
Donald Trump took to social media platform Truth Social to give his take on the latest confronting scenes and clashes.
“France is burning,” The President’s message said.
“The immigration of people from an entirely different world, people with hatred in their hearts, has shattered that once great country. Close your borders and take control, before it is too late."
