Hello Everyone! K6003 웅석교통고속 입니다!
이번에 제작해본 열차는 무궁화호 장대열차입니다!
1990년대~2000년대 초반의 전성기 시절로 제작했으며, 총 15량 구성으로 되어있습니다! 그럼 설명을 보시겠습니다!
Q.무궁화호 장대열차란?
수요 폭증 대비 혹은, 수요가 많은 노선에 대응하기위해 조성되는 형식으로, 객차 10량~12량이 조성된다.
1990년대~2000년대 초반, 무궁화호의 전성기를 이끌었으며, 주로 경부선에서 자주 다녔고,
경부선 배차간격 30분 시절엔 시간대 대부분이 장대열차로 운행할 정도였다.
전성기 기준 디젤기관차 2량, 발전차 1량, 특실1량, 서비스 객차 1량, 일반실 8량~10량 조성이
대표적이였고, 간혹 특실이 없는 경우도 있었다.
서비스 객차는 대표적으로 스넥카가 조성 당 꼭 1량씩은 조성되었고, 일부열차는 PC 객차, 바둑객차,
놀이방, 문화홍보 객차가 다양하게 조성되었고, 야간열차엔 침대차도 조성되었다.
수요가 많아, 구형 객차의 비중이 꽤나 높았고, 탕엥객차, 장대형 객차, 클래식 객차 같은 구형 객차가
상시 투입되었고, 나뭇결 객차, 리미트 객차 등등, 당시 신형 객차들도 다양하게 무작위로 조성되었다.
2004년 KTX 개통 이후, 대부분의 수요가 KTX로 넘어가며, 수요가 줄어들고, 객차 수명이 다하여 폐차되며 줄어드는 등, 현재 정규운행 열차로는 장대열차를 사실상 볼 수 없으며, 사실상 유일하게 남아있는 장대열차는 매주 목요일 장성➡️동두천 간 편도로 운행하는 신병수송열차 뿐이다.
무려 5시간 37분이 소요된 이번 열차는, 8개월 만의 제작이라, 꽤나 오래걸리고, 속도도 느려지긴 했지만, 그래도 나름 좋게나온것 같네요

The train I made this time is the Mugunghwa long train!
It was produced to reflect its heyday from the 1990s to the early 2000s and consists of a total of 15 cars! Now, let's take a look at the description!
Q. What is the Mugunghwa long train?
It is constructed in a format designed to cope with a surge in demand or to respond to high-demand routes, and consists of 10 to 12 passenger cars.
It led the golden age of the Mugunghwa train from the 1990s to the early 2000s. It ran frequently, primarily on the Gyeongbu Line, and during the era of 30-minute intervals on the line, it operated as a long train for most time slots.
During its peak, a typical configuration consisted of two diesel locomotives, one generator car, one first-class car, one service car, and eight to ten standard cars; occasionally, there were trains without a first-class car.
Regarding service cars, a snack car was always included at least once. Some trains featured a variety of configurations, such as PC room cars, Go cars, playroom cars, and cultural promotion cars. Dining cars were also included, and sleeper cars were added to night trains. Due to high demand, the proportion of older passenger cars was quite high; older cars such as Tang-eung cars, long-type cars, and classic cars were constantly deployed, while newer cars of the time, such as wood-grain cars and Limit cars, were also randomly assembled.
Since the opening of the KTX in 2004, most demand has shifted to the KTX, leading to a decrease in demand. Additionally, as cars reached the end of their lifespan and were scrapped, long-type trains are virtually impossible to see in regular service today. In fact, the only remaining long-type train is the recruit transport train that operates one-way between Jangseong and Dongducheon every Thursday.
This train took a whopping 5 hours and 37 minutes to build. Since it was the first production run in 8 months, it took quite a long time and the speed was slower, but I think it turned out pretty well nonetheless.
