Postmatch Press Conference | Pat Noonan | 10/31/26

FC Cincinnati Head Coach Pat Noonan speaks with the media following the Orange and Blue’s 1-0 win over Philadelphia Union at TQL Stadium in MLS regular-season action. The victory clinched a berth in the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs, securing FC Cincinnati’s fifth consecutive postseason appearance.

Noonan discusses the team’s defensive performance and clean sheet, including the collective effort inside the box against Philadelphia’s long throws and set pieces. He also reflects on FC Cincinnati earning points in four straight matches while navigating a demanding stretch of the schedule and injuries.

The head coach credits the character of the group and contributions from Nick Hagglund, Teenage Hadebe, Obinna Nwobodo and Kévin Denkey during a depleted stretch, along with the impact of substitutes Ender Echenique and Ayoub Jabbari. Noonan also discusses what five straight playoff appearances mean for the club while emphasizing that FC Cincinnati wants to accomplish more.

Looking ahead, Noonan turns his attention to the regular-season finale against Nashville SC and the opportunity for FC Cincinnati to improve its position in the Eastern Conference before the MLS Cup Playoffs.
