일만 팔천 신들과
이 터를 오천년간 지켜온 심방(샤먼)이 있는
신화의 섬, 제주도

푸름 바다와 숲너머
이승과 저승사이

광활한 벌판 미여지뱅뒤에서는
망자들이 모든 짐을 버리고
푸른 나비가 되어 하늘에 오른다

하지만 인간의 끝없는 탐욕은
오염과 파괴를 부르고

황폐해진 미여지뱅뒤에서
망자는 길을 잃고 신들도 눈을 돌린다

이것은 신들이 떠난 세상에
다시 신들을 불러오는 이야기

존재하되, 존재하지 않는 그곳에서, 우리는
푸른 나비의 선택을 받아 신들의 노래를 듣는다

길없는 곳에 길을 내어 신들의 춤과 노래로
세상을 정화하리니

발 밑에 놓인 두 갈래 길
하나를 선택하면 또 다른 세계가 열리리라

Miyeoji Baengdui

On Jeju Island, the mythic land of 18,000 gods and shamans (Simbang) who have protected this place for five thousand years—

Beyond the blue sea and forest,
between the world of the living and the realm of the dead—

Lies the vast field of Miyeoji Baengdui,
where the departed cast off all burdens
and ascend to the sky as blue butterflies.

But human greed knows no end.
Pollution and destruction spread.

In the desolated Miyeoji Baengdui,
the dead lose their way,
and even the gods turn away.

This is the story of calling the gods back
into a world they have abandoned.

In that place—existing yet not existing—
we hear the songs of the gods, chosen by the blue butterfly.

On the pathless land,
songs and dances of the gods will cleanse the world.

Two roads unfold beneath our feet.
Choose one, and another world will open.
