Trump doesn’t want future presidents to touch his Oval Office decor

President Donald Trump has signed a proclamation that he said would designate the White House’s Oval Office and Cabinet Room as national landmarks — a move to “protect” the two West Wing spaces from future changes.

The signing ceremony was his third event of the week related to construction or renovation projects in the capital, in the wake of sweeping Republican midterm losses. CNN has reached out to the White House about the document and Trump’s intentions.
