Japanese journalist Waka Ikeda criticises Prime Minister Anthony Albanese after he made a crude joke about Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on a podcast.
“Surprisingly, Japanese media has been pretty quiet; they only started reporting it a few days ago,” Ms Ikeda told News24 host Chris Kenny.
“Many Japanese people actually don't know about this.
“Japanese media is mostly left-leaning… they have been silent; they have not supported Takaichi for such a sexualised joke.”
