Your internet is watching you and it is NOT in the way you’d expect
A so-called Wi-Fi shield that can detect movements based on disturbances in radio frequency signals is now being offered to Xfinity users
If an unexpected change in the frequencies of signals between the network gateway and different devices, the service is able to pinpoint the location of the movement and report it back to you with a time-stamped notification
Doing stuff like this isn’t a new development, but it’s noteworthy that Comcast is implementing it for free with paid upgrades for stuff like cameras and cloud video storage
Whether or not you wanna give the internet access to this sort of data from your own home is your own prerogative, but it’s out there for you now regardless
