The Reign came out victorious against the Houston Dash, earning a slender 1-0 win thanks to a second half strike from Maddie Dahlien. The Reign and Dash played through the first half scoreless, but a missed punch by Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell on Reign midfielder Maddie Mercado allowed Dahlien to receive the ball at the back post and lift an effort back the other way and into the back of the net. The hosts would hold onto that one goal lead to the end and earn a big three points in the playoff race.
