"In the past, we were too small to enter the Chinese market."
Slovenian supplement maker Biostile is attending the ninth China International Import Expo in Shanghai, hoping to turn a supply relationship into two-way trade.
Around a quarter of its ingredients already come from China. Now, it wants to export finished products to China.
Chief Executive Dalibor Kosmina says expanded production capacity has made that possible. In Shanghai, the company is looking for distributors, working out regulatory requirements and assessing which products could appeal to Chinese consumers.
CGTN's Aljosa Milenkovic reports from Slovenia's famous Karst region.
