King Charles has drawn a line in the sand over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s status ahead of their shock return to the UK.
A spokesperson for the Sussexes said Harry and Meghan were caught off guard by Charles’ letter, which outlined that the couple are not working Royals.
In a letter written by King Charles, he asserted that Harry and Meghan were “private citizens” and are still “no longer working members of the Royal Family”.
According to The Express, the spokesperson claimed the Sussexes “were a little surprised not to have been told this in advance”.
Buckingham Palace hit back at the spokesperson’s remarks, claiming the couple were given notice before Charles released the letter publicly.
