Nostalgic for a connection WIFI can't give | Jon Sakura | TEDxABQ

Jon Sakura reframes gaming from a solitary screen-lit activity into something built around people, not just play. Jon Sakura is a small business owner born and raised in Albuquerque, where he runs a local gaming cafe built around community, alongside passions for music, drawing, and cats. His talk takes a second look at what we assume video gaming has to be — a solitary, screen-lit activity — and makes the case for something different. Jon shares his vision for what gaming spaces could look like when they're built around people instead of just play. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
