When Words Become Biology | Omar Al Awar | TEDxMUBS

The choice of who we become is often shaped by how we speak to ourselves—by the words we repeat in our minds. Because the way we speak to ourselves doesn’t just affect how we feel… it could shape how our brain works. So, our inner voice influences our brain and who we become. Dr. Omar is a Lebanese neurosurgeon recognized for his contributions to clinical neurosurgery, academic medicine, and patient-centered care. Practicing in Lebanon, he is affiliated with leading medical institutions including the Mount Lebanon Hospital University Medical Center and Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui University Medical Center, where he provides specialized care in neurological and spinal disorders. 
Dr. Al Awar has been actively involved in both surgical practice and academic work. He serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Balamand, contributing to the training of future physicians and advancing neurosurgical education in Lebanon.
