We often remember life through visible milestones — achievements, failures, beginnings and endings. But much of what shapes us happens quietly in the space between them.
Priyanka Sharma reflects on academic setbacks, career transitions, relationships, unexpected experiences and the people we meet along the way. She challenges the tendency to judge ourselves and others from a single moment without understanding the larger context behind it.
Rather than rushing from one dot to another, she encourages us to value the uncertainty, curiosity, learning and human experiences that happen in between — because that is often where life is actually being lived. Priyanka Sharma is a Content Consultant and Communication Coach with experience in brand communication, PR, academia, and employability development. A former Content Editor at The Times of India, she has worked with luxury brands, agrotech companies, and other sectors, with features in Forbes and Femina.
She is also a visiting faculty member and resource person for training programmes at Higher Education Institutions, the National Human Rights Commission, WCDO, and community organizations. She co-authored Communication Skills for Budding Professionals, adopted as a textbook for first-year engineering and management students. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
