Lucy Godley was subjected to a campaign of violence by her partner, which began when she was 20 weeks pregnant. Fearing for her life and her daughter's future without her, she gathered evidence that led to her attacker being jailed for 23 years.
Lucy wasn't in court to hear the verdict handed down - she couldn't face it. Her friends came to her house to deliver the news instead.
