Lenovo Won't Kill the Nipple

I don't daily drive a ThinkPad, and I went into this pretty sure nobody actually uses the TrackPoint. It's been sitting between the G, H, and B keys since 1992, and it's still on the current X1 Carbon. So I went through r/thinkpad, IBM's own research from 1993, and the 2021 bug where it just stopped working for a lot of people. My theory was that Lenovo only keeps it around for brand recognition, and replacement caps running $10 to $20 didn't hurt that theory. Then the subreddit showed up, including one guy who narrated using the TrackPoint to get to Reddit and type his whole comment. Turns out I was wrong about how many people love this thing.
