‘Complete disaster’: Labor blasted for refusing to take responsibility for housing chaos

Shadow Science and Technology Minister Aaron Violi accuses the Albanese government of refusing to acknowledge the housing market’s deterioration as falling prices and declining buyer activity hit Australians.

“There’s a lot of amnesia from this government and suddenly their own budget papers don’t exist,” Mr Violi told News24 host Chris Kenny.

“The reality is the first step when you’ve got a problem to fix it is to admit that you’ve got a problem and this government won’t do that.

“It has been a complete disaster and Jim Chalmers, Anthony Albanese and Claire O’Neil … refuse to take responsibility for their failures and it’s the Australian people that are going to pay the price.”
