Started this leg of the trip in Ji'an, right on the border with North Korea, then somehow survived a brutal 7-hour bus ride to Yanbian.
No seatbelts on the bus, a rest stop thick with cigarette smoke, all 100% real.
Yanbian itself felt like a whole different world... Korean signs everywhere, even a Korean club, but the vibe was nothing like I expected.
