Saint Xavier vs Mount Mercy delivered a five-set battle at the 2026 NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Championship.
No. 3 Saint Xavier and No. 6 Mount Mercy battled in Pool C at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a spot in the national semifinals on the line.
Mount Mercy took Sets 1 and 3, but Saint Xavier answered each time and forced a fifth before finishing the comeback, 22–25, 25–16, 22–25, 25–13, 15–13. Saint Xavier finished with 66 kills, hit .307 and recorded 16 blocks. Caydann Cox led the Cougars with 26 kills, while Mount Mercy's Guglielmo Illotti finished with 33 kills.
