Reform spent two years campaigning to get Starmer out - now they’ve been knocked off the top of the polls. The Conservatives have a new opponent across the dispatch box. The Greens have a Labour leader trying to occupy some of their political territory.

But Burnham's biggest challenge could be closer to home - the Labour coalition that got him into Downing Street is broad - and fragile. Can Burnham keep his own party together once the compromises of government begin?
