《화해기 和海記》 전시 트레일러 영상

2026년 8월 13일부터 10월 18일까지 진행되는 인천아트플랫폼 기획전시 ‘2025 인천미술 올해의 작가’ 차기율 개인전 《화해기 和海記》의 전시 트레일러 영상입니다.

‘인천미술 올해의 작가’는 시각예술 분야에서 독자적인 작업 세계를 구축해 온 인천 연고 작가를 선정해 신작 제작과 개인전 개최를 지원하는 인천아트플랫폼의 전시 제도입니다.
2023년부터 중견 작가와 청년 작가를 격년으로 선정해 왔으며, 2025년 중견 작가 부문에 차기율 작가가 선정되었습니다.

인간과 자연, 생명의 순환과 공존을 고고학적 상상력과 발굴의 형식으로 탐구해 온 차기율은 인천의 도시와 섬, 강화와 서해 갯벌의 풍토와 시간성을 오랫동안 작업의 기반으로 삼아 왔습니다. 이번 개인전에서는 그 장기적인 리서치에서 비롯된 신작과 주요 연작, 작업의 형성 과정을 담은 아카이브를 함께 선보이며, 물질과 장소에 남은 기억과 흔적을 탐구해 온 차기율의 작업 세계를 집중적으로 조명합니다.

A trailer for 𝑯𝒘𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒈𝒊: 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒂, a solo exhibition by CHA Ki-youl, the 2025 Incheon Artist of the Year, presented at Incheon Art Platform from August 13 to October 18, 2026.

The “Incheon Artist of the Year” is an exhibition program of Incheon Art Platform that selects artists with ties to Incheon who have established distinctive practices in the visual arts. The program supports the production of new work and the presentation of a solo exhibition. Since 2023, it has alternated annually between the mid-career and emerging artist categories, with CHA Ki-youl selected in the mid-career category for 2025.

Drawing on archaeological imagination and excavation as an artistic method, CHA Ki-youl has explored the relationship between humans and nature, cycles of life, and coexistence. His practice has long been grounded in the environments and temporalities of Incheon’s urban areas and islands, including Ganghwa and the tidal flats of the West Sea. This solo exhibition brings together new works developed from his long-term research, major series, and archival materials documenting the development of his practice. It offers an in-depth look at his exploration of memories and traces that remain in matter and place.
