A patchwork of colors: China's autumn harvest from space #CoolChina

As October brings the autumn harvest into full swing across China, fields from north to south are turning gold, green and red. Autumn grains make up roughly three quarters of the country's annual output. More than 30% of the crop has already been harvested – ahead of last year's pace.

From high above, the Jilin-1 satellite shows this season of abundance from a different angle. Join us on a journey over the land, from the golden rice fields of the northeast to the fertile plains of the southwest, and discover the colors and harvests of each region. #autumn #harvest #space #grain
