Australian Bat Lyssavirus, also known as 'Australia’s rabies', is a lethal virus carried by native bat populations. It hit our shores in 2013, and now eight years later, health experts and authorities are once again warning the public not to pick up or touch bats, amid a sudden surge of bat bites across the country.
