Here are the extended highlights from our 93–87 loss to the Cairns Taipans, a contest we fought the whole way.

Taran Armstrong ran the show with 20 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. David Johnson hit 4 of 6 from three on his way to 18 points and 7 boards. Will Magnay gave us 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks at the rim, and Dakota Mathias added 15 with three triples. Nick Marshall rounded it out with 13 points and 9 rebounds. We controlled the glass 45–37 and shot 47.7% from the floor.

Credit to the Taipans, who hit 14 threes. Jaylon Brown led them with 20, and Kyrin Galloway gave them 19 off the bench, going 5 of 7 from deep. Thirteen turnovers cost us. We'll take the lessons and go again. 🐜
