We are just inches away from turning your phone into a straight up Steam Deck.
Thanks to the launch of Valve’s Steam Frame, their Steam operating system now plays way nicer with the hardware that you find inside of most phones these days, which are a distinctly different architecture from what a gaming PC uses.
And now, the project DroidDeck, is updating quite quickly to help make it so you can actually get a Steam Big Picture Mode setup running on your android device.
It’s limited at the moment based on hardware, with it only having driver support for specific versions of Qualcomm's specific Adreno graphics processors.
But they have dropped Steam boot times from nearly half a minute to just 6 seconds on many devices.
