Sakolsky: Chinese, U.S. Presidents Can Build Bridges for Bilateral Ties

"If one simple American teacher can communicate through the heart and build a relationship with one desert-dwelling Chinese woman, everybody can do this. That's the lesson," said retired U.S. teacher Ronald Sakolsky.
Sakolsky and Yin Yuzhen, a Chinese farmer and pioneer in combating desertification, came from different worlds. Yet they forged a friendship that crossed cultures and continents. It's a powerful example of the bonds ordinary Chinese and Americans can build.
