Kim Hyunsung has long explored the role of everyday objects through the medium of metal. For him, making is not only a way of creating, but also a way of understanding the world and continually reflecting on himself.

His artwork begins with everyday life. Human relationships, the flow of emotions, and sensory experiences encountered in nature are distilled into forms through drawing, then reimagined in the materiality of metal. The resulting pieces go beyond serving as functional objects. They are gradually completed through the user's touch, the passage of time, and the traces of change that accumulate with use.
