Kibray Chemical Research Institute Site Visit

I visited the chemical research institute built by Bomi Construction in Kibray, Tashkent, during its final stage before completion.
About four months after my previous visit in May, I returned to review the overall progress from exterior landscaping to the laboratory interiors.
Outside, I reviewed the main entrance, guardhouses, approximately 1.6 km of fencing, landscaping, lawn areas, walkways, and exterior finishes.
I also examined the quality and installation of actual finishes including brick, HPL panels, aluminum windows, silicone joints, and tiles.
Inside the laboratories, I reviewed ventilation shafts, supply and exhaust systems, air conditioning, ceilings, fire doors, and other complex MEP and architectural requirements.
One notable feature was the extensive mechanical ventilation and building services required for a chemical research facility compared with a typical office building.
During the walkthrough, we also discussed specifications and finish details that appeared excessive, as well as areas where cost optimization might have been possible.
The visit also showed that at the completion stage, multi-trade touch-ups, defect correction, and coordination often take more time than the actual cleaning.
The video captures the final condition of the project and how the team brought it close to completion despite six subcontractor changes.
This site visit provides a practical look at construction quality and finishing standards for a research facility in Uzbekistan from an architectural and CM perspective.
