🚨The Tip That Started It ALL…Scott Johnson Reveals How His Ilhan Omar Investigation Began 10yrs Ago

Ten years ago, a tip set Scott Johnson on a reporting trail into Ilhan Omar’s background. Now, Johnson says a newly released New York Times story revisits reporting he pursued a decade ago on the Power Line blog.

Johnson tells Trish Regan that Omar’s campaign accused him of not wanting to see a woman like her succeed. But he says details about her life raised questions that kept him digging—particularly about her family and her second husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. Johnson explains why he came to believe Elmi is her brother, an allegation Omar has denied.

How was he first tipped off? What did he find, and which questions remain unresolved? Johnson shares the story behind his reporting.
