China through the senses: Whisper of nature

From vast wetlands to tropical rainforests and high mountain habitats, China is home to an extraordinary diversity of life – from hundreds of thousands of migratory birds at Poyang Lake to Asian elephants in Yunnan, rare wild orchids in Hainan and the endangered Guizhou snub-nosed monkey.

Through the eyes, ears and footsteps of the people who protect them, this film explores the delicate connections between humans and the natural world – and how science, technology and steadfast stewardship are helping safeguard China's rich biodiversity.

From wetlands and mountains to tropical rainforests, these stories reveal how people and wildlife are finding a shared rhythm, protecting not only individual species but the ecosystems they call home.

Every living thing has a spirit. All life shares one rhythm.
