Shanghai celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival with outdoor game symphony, robot fashion, immersive arts

Shanghai citizens enjoy an outdoor concert of classic orchestral music and gaming for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Throughout the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, interactive "Audio-Visual Stations" are popping up across major hubs like Jingan Park and Zhangyuan. Visitors can watch robot fashion shows, try vintage photography and buy a themed ice cream.

Behind the scenes, global tech experts also gathered in Shanghai for a specialized industry salon to discuss the future of entertainment, focusing on artificial intelligence, virtual tech and immersive audio.

The 2026 International Audio-Visual Arts Carnival runs in Shanghai from Sept 24 to Oct 18, blending advanced tech, art installations and shopping into one massive city event.
